Riverfire 2007

Brisbane's having the Riverfestival now and yesterday had the Riverfire, a half-hour display of spectacular fireworks. Managed to get ourselves a very good spot right by the river bank thanks to one of my friends who came early. I never saw fireworks at such close proximity before. It's amazing that the stretch of the river was littered with the boats that emit the fireworks. So you could see from one end of the river to the other fireworks synchronisingly being shot up in the air. And some of the tall buildings in the city also participated by shooting some fireworks at the top! I was so in awe. Unlike Spore's fighter jets during national day where they just fart colored smoke from their backs, they had 2 fighter jets doing an aerial display with bright huge flames something like those turbo booster you see in the movies.

Gonna miss them when they finish their exchange programs end of this semester. Just beginning to get along really well.

I like this! Like shooting stars! Ok ok quick make a wish! "I wish...I wish... I wish for a new pair of shoes!"

Sheets of firework raining down from the bridge. Eh wait is it still called firework? Hmm...

Throngs of people at Southbank, much worse than the Ekka Festival I went to.
