Of Weekend Markets, Being Fair & Getting Healthy

I visited a couple of weekend markets during the past week. They have a lot of these "pasar malam" here and they are so much better than the ones in Singapore with tons of interesting finds. Love going. The one below is at Riverside, at the CBD.

The bridge in the background is the Story Bridge, I believe. There are a number of bridges around. Can't remember which name belongs to which bridge.

Check out the dark clouds. This is during the rainy week.

Did my grocery shopping at another weekend market with my housemate in my surburb. Bought so many fruits and vegetables because they were so cheap but as a result I almost broke my back lugging them home. And the weather was so freaking hot! The weather fluctuates on the extreme, either it's very cold or very cold. I hate the sun here because unlike Singapore's, it kinda like pierces through the skin, I'm serious! I'm turning darker by the day. I'm never gonna be fair again like my pre-NS days. =( It was so hot that me and my housemate decided to use our umbrellas, oblivious of the stares around us. I don't recall using my umbrella in Singapore other than when it's raining. My housemate said, "Aiyah don't worry, we are Asians!" Hahark. All in the name of vanity.

Witnessed the below just outside my house one fine morning and I snapped some photos unbeknownst to them.

'Get Active & Healthy Here!' by pulling your knees close to your chest...

And thrust it up baby!
